Renato’s Reminiscing Heart

A Perth father of five, Renato Antonio, has released his debut album entitled Reminiscing Heart.

According to the teacher turn recording artist, the debut release contains inspirational songs that embody the memories of the heart, stories of love, hope and gratitude.

Reminiscing Heart is an album 4 years in the making which is a compilation of originals, covers of contemporary christian music (CCM) and traditional hymns with Renato’s own twist.

One of the originals, No Need to Fear is a haunting track inspired by words from the diary of St Faustina which features the vivacious vocals of Natasha Tsouris and the soothing sounds of strings.

Cinderella is an emotional number originally recorded by CCM artist Steven Curtis Chapman who wrote the song for his two youngest daughters, one of whom died in a tragic accident the next year.

Renato’s rendition incorporates backing vocals from his daughter Marie Grace and niece Kiara making it all the more moving.

“This song has always touched me and is a foreshadowing of the angst I know I will feel one day when my daughter is all grown up and finding her own way in life.”

John Newton’s Amazing Grace, probably one of the most well-known traditional hymns in the English speaking world, is met with a fresh twist in Renato’s Amazing Grace, You Found Me which includes new lyrics.

The album is now available to download on the iTunes store.
